ABOUT MUDCLOTH

Handmade in Mali, a north African country in the Sahara Desert region, Mudcloths can be traced back to the 12th century.

Historically, the handwoven fabric was dyed with mud mixed with vegetation, producing wonderful and varied hues.

The name "Mudcloth" comes from the Mali ethnic language Bambara, and it is called "Bogolanfini," which quite literally means earth or mud (bogo) with (lan) fini (cloth).

Due to the handmade nature of Mudcloth, the print varies from shoe to shoe, so each pair is unique just for you!

Materials: Mudcloth, jute twine, and jute soles with vulcanized rubber for durability.

Please note W is for Women's and M is for Men's when reviewing our sizing.
