Café Ubuntu Turns 10!

Café Ubuntu Turns 10!

"I think about it nearly every day. A life-changing experience with some of the most wonderful and caring humans I've ever shared time with. Big love." - Ken Gentry, Whole Foods Market volunteer that helped build Café Ubuntu

These words perfectly express the sentiment that captures the spirit of Café Ubuntu as it marks its tenth anniversary. Built by the hands of some of the most "wonderful and caring humans" and still being run and operated by an Ubuntu team with that same loving spirit.

The journey of the Ubuntu Life Campus started with this groundbreaking photo that led to the construction of Café Ubuntu, which is now part of a thriving compound that includes a retail shop, an organic farm, a water bottling plant, and the Ubuntu Life Foundation's state-of-the-art Children's Wellness Centre. It is a humbling and deeply rewarding feeling to be part of such an ecosystem. Understanding that you are a sum of your parts and those parts reach far and wide to make you and the company you call your life's work is so gratifying that it is hard to put into words. On behalf of the Ubuntu Life team, I thank all of you who have made this possible. Café Ubuntu is rooted in your loving presence and continues to thrive and give that same love to thousands of our visitors each year from around the world.

The spirit of Ubuntu inextricably ties my humanity to yours. I am because you are. Thank you to all those who make Café Ubuntu what it is today, and here's to many beautiful years ahead!

Big love,

Zane and the Ubuntu Life team
