The Workman Handwoven - Cobalt

Crafted in partnership with KikoRomeo, a mother and daughter team, this small-batch workman jacket is a celebration of artistry, sustainability, and community. Each piece is handwoven in Kenya from wool and cotton, plant-dyed in outdoor batches, and finished with natural coconut-shell buttons and an ethically sourced horn logo — making it fully biodegradable from stitch to trim.

The jacket features a gender-inclusive fit, four functional pockets, adjustable roll-back cuffs, and a darker woven contrast panel along the back and inner sleeves. No two pieces are identical.

Only 78 jackets were made — each one creating opportunity for Kenyan women, youth, and skilled makers.

Each jacket arrives in a reusable cotton duster bag featuring a one-of-a-kind patchwork square designed by displaced women up-cycling leftover fabric.

The wool fibers can shrink or change texture if exposed to water that is too hot or too cold, or if spun at high speed. To maintain the integrity of the handwoven fabric, professional cleaning is strongly recommended.
