Our African Baule Cloth Bags are a thing of beauty. Inspired by Creative Director Amal Wilemon's love for African textiles, we stitch each bag from no less than ten different hand-dyed Baule Cloths from Côte D’Ivoire.

Hand-stitched in our Maker Studio located in Maai Mahiu, Kenya, each bag is unique and one of a kind. What's more, your bag is eternally connected to other bags made with parts of the same Baule Cloth. What we love about this is that this bag connects each of its owners to what it means to #liveubuntu, a manifestation of the interconnected nature of our shared humanity, each woven to the other, living boldly and beautifully into the world!

• Due to its unique nature, each piece will vary slightly.
• We do not recommend laundering textiles. Even dry cleaning is too much for some of these antique textiles.

Care instructions:

To spot treat, wet the Wash & Stain Bar and gently work into the stained area(s). Remove soap and dirt with a wet Lint-Free Cleaning Cloth—be sure to remove all soap. Dampen the cloth as needed, and repeat the process until satisfied.

If necessary, gently wipe your print with a soft cloth that has been slightly dampened with water. Never use chemicals to clean your print. When doing so ensure that all leather parts are carefully protected from water.
