Our mums received quite the surprise this week! The Malaika Kids, a group of children and teenagers with special needs who are near and dear (and most of them related to) the UBUNTU Made Mums, took a walk around town for some exercise and made an impromptu stop by the studio.
The Mums noticed them arriving and began shouting and smiling, excited to see the kids and their teachers approaching! Thankfully, we had a camera nearby and snapped a few photos of the kids visiting the studio, most of them for the first time.
It was especially exciting for Lucy who graduated from the Malaika Kids Program and now works at UBUNTU Made, assisting quality control and training to sew. Lucy's was proud to give her best friend, Sarah, a tour of the studio.
