The Ubuntu Life Foundation is launching its first inaugural Ubuntu Kids fundraising gala dinner night on Friday, July 14, 2017 in Nairobi. The goal of this event is to highlight advocacy and inclusion of children and persons with disability, allowing them to live a more dignified life. The funds raised will benefit the Ubuntu Special Needs Centre which was created to combat stigma and injustice by providing therapy, education, and vocational training to youth with special needs in Maai Mahiu.
Attendees will have an opportunity to interact with some of the children, parents, staff and partners of the Centre, but we are looking to cross borders with this event and involve supporters across the globe to show support for the cause. Bringing the global community to the forefront of the event will not only embody the spirit of Ubuntu, but donors will have the ability to help children with special needs live a life of dignity and respect.
To celebrate the launch of Cafe Ubuntu light roast coffee we are going to be posted up at Whole Foods Market in downtown Austin Wednesday June 7th through Tuesday June 13th from 11am to 7pm daily. We'll be handing out samples of the Ubuntu coffee and the delicious Hi Sign Brewing Blood Orange Ubuntu Coffee Stout. Stop by and meet the team, grab some coffee, and learn about our programs!
